About the author: Jon Sherwood grew up as a small-town farm boy in North Central Florida. There he learned to love the outdoors as he was exposed to hunting, fishing, rock climbing, and an appreciation of all things outdoors. He excelled in sports in high school but was drawn to riotous living and had several brushes with the law. Through an interesting series of events during his college years he learned about God, Jesus, and the Bible and became a zealous follower of Christ.

Jon graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in psychology and is a graduate of the Athens Institute of Ministry. He has served in full-time ministry for the last twelve years, and he and his wife, Brittany, serve with the Columbia Church of Christ in Columbia, South Carolina.
