Richard Hackett holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University in International Business and Marketing, with a minor in History. He and his wife Stephanie are both disciples (since 1991) and have two children (both disciples). He and his family have traveled extensively in the US, and sailed in the Caribbean and South Pacific, where he found his next calling. In 2012, they founded and now operate a non-profit charity in the South Pacific called Sea Mercy (www.seamercy.org), delivering free health care, disaster response & rebuilding, economic development and education based programs for the thousands of “at risk” remote islands. 100% of the author proceeds from the sale of his books goes to support Sea Mercy.
When not consumed by his real world business endeavors and shepherding the congregation he belongs to, he has focused a great deal of his personal time and energy on history, strategy and writing. He enjoys exploring, researching and writing about the spiritual aspects of life and Christianity and the hidden secrets found within the Bible. He has always been an "outside the box" thinker (work and writing), yet a realist when it comes to application and implementation of those dreams.
We strive to produce material that is biblical, life-changing, grace-filled, and calls people to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
